Unique book launch by Kite Group

To launch its new book ‘Gonzi and Malta’s break with Gaddafi.  Recollections of a Premier,’ Kite Group organised a memorable event in The Throne Room at The Grandmaster’s Palace in Valletta.

Presided by HE Dr George Abela, the President of Malta, Kite Group delivered another memorable event which included high-profile speeches from HE Mustafa-Abdul Jalil, former Chairman of the National Transitional Council of Libya, Dr Lawrence Gonzi, former Prime Minister and Dr Joseph Cassar, the author of the book.

The majestic Throne Room, adorned by the frescoes of Matteo Perez d’Aleccio, proved to be the ideal setting for such a unique evening which saw the participation of a number of dignitaries including Prime Minister Joseph Muscat, Members of Parliament, Ambassadors and a delegation from Libya.   Captain Al-Rabty, one of the Mirage jet pilots that defected to Malta, was also present.
